My new pics attempt 3

The pics are very small and don’t show much detail.

I think I finally got it. Holy crap that took three hours!

I like the pics. very nice layout BTW.

Good looking pics. Good detail. I use to have a hard time with posting pics on any kind of website. After you do it a few times, you get use to it. I just posted what I have done so far on my layout (topic - weekend photo fun), and I did it right this time. Great looking alyout thou.

Thanks! It is definately getting better. If I could only remember how to post pictures the right way the first time I would post pictures more often.

Just takes practice, nice pictures thow. if you make em bigger you will have it .nice layout!

Carl…

Nice pics.[tup] Worth the effort!! Nice layout!! [tup][tup] How did you post? With Photobucket? They take a while to download to their site, [zzz]http://photobucket.com/ , but download almost instantly and larger to the forum. It’s free - try it when you have some time to kill!![8D]

That’s much better. Very nice pics.

[#ditto]…Photobucket is easy to use & YES FREE!

I used shutterfly and it also took a while to get them from my computer to them. I don’t know if photobucket would be any better since I think its my computer skills getting in the way.[:)]

How did you do your clouds in the 5th picture?

I made my clouds by first painting the backdrop blue. While the paint was still wet, I used white house paint and a 2 inch brush to stipple the clouds. I started low and mixed the white paint with the wet blue paint and worked my way up. I used more white paint to outline the top of the clouds. I learned this technique from the Dream Plan Build Videos. It only took about 30 minutes to paint my whole backdrop.

Next time, try taking a few shots without the flash. Turn the room lights up as much as you can, and open any window shades if you have natural light in the daytime. This may require putting the camera on a tripod, or at least resting it on a solid surface to keep it steady. I use the timer function on some of my shots, because that’s a lot smoother than having the camera take the picture right as my big fingers push the button.

I think you’ll like the results a lot better. The colors will look a lot closer to the way you normally see them.
