This may have been covered a week or two ago, but I like & prefer painting outside & on (standing on) concrete. My reasons are I don’t have the static charged dust & cat hair issues, & the natural light ominence seems to help me make even & cleaner paint jobs.
You did a great job leaving it there, rather than moving it to a possibly static rich environment as well.
Please share when you get it minted out, looking forward to seeing more of it.
Obviously, there are several other subassemblies (underframe/end platorms, body roof, cupola roof, trucks, end ladders) yet to be painted, but the basic body is on a painting fast-track because of smooth-coat/decal processes unique to the body. My practice is to space the several paint/decal processes a few days apart. Target date for completion: Oct. 1.
