i have a good setup now for railfanning. i get home from skool and listen to the scanner as i do homework. if im lucky, ill catch NECR switching new london(i can hear them real clear in gales ferry) and hope that mom and dad arent too exausted from work so i can beg for a trip to new london. anyone else that railfans around here-- is it alwayse RMPX9426 as power on the point?(or at least in the consist) ive seen it twice, all the time with 9426, another RMPX unit, and NECR3855.

Every morning that I am home at around 8:20 am I hear the horns of a loco on the CSX line which is about 3 miles away. Some day I want to be there when it crosses the overpass on Highway 98 in Wake Forest.
