One of your two Aurora shots looked like you took it along IL Route 31…did you get to visit our spot at Eola Yard? If so, what were your impressions?
Sorry my bad I did not ask you instructions how to get there from I88 & nobody I asked could direct me to McClure St so regret to say I did not get to your favorite spot. Hopefully next year I can do it again & I will Mapquest it to be sure I reach the correct spot. As for where I was somehow I think we got on 31 & stopped at a Mickeys Ds & ask some people where the RR was. They directed me to Illinois Ave & then after prceeding west on Illinois to the next stop lite make a right which took me thru town & under the RR bridge I think. Then I proceeded following the tracks till I found a favorable place where I can shoot from. Then I realized that that was the same transcon that ran thru Rochelle where I could double my action UPRR & BNSF so I proceeded there where I had a hot couple of hours including seeing 1995 go westward so I was pretty happy at the end of the that day.
Tracks run right along Rt31 just past aurora where Rt30 crosses. I see Amtrak & freight through there all the time when im going to & from work
