Hi There;
I was at the train show at Peachland B.C. today & picked up a brand new Spectrum 2-8-0 for only $75.00. It runs as good as it looks. First thing Monday I will be on the phone to order a sound decoder from my HS.

You did good, Tom. That is a fine looking model and a good runner from all I’ve read. I was going to ask if that was US or CDN dollars until I remembered - they’re the same now! [:)]
Thats a great deal. My last train show bargain was a Proto CN 0-8-0 for a 100 bucks. The guy had a Proto 2-8-8-2 as well that he wanted 175 bucks for. I’m still kicking myself for passing up that one. I ran out of money anyways, lol, and he didn’t take VISA.
Tommy, You gonna modify it to look like the one up at Summerland? Hows the club layout doing on the Sicamouse?
Hi There;
Inever thought about the one at Summerland. Good idea ,I think I will go up & take some pics. The club is doing good. I built a log camp for the layout & we installed it. Looks good & adds one more opportunity for operation. We are going to replace the mill at Penticton with a bigger one & add a siding to it. Now that the ship is closed for the season we can do major work on the layout.

I passed up a 4-12-2, 50 bucks at a show, it needes some side fram linkage parts, I gave it a hard thought and said no. But I bought a centepede tender all brass same vendor about 12 bucks, perfect buy/deal, it goes behind my bowser Big Boy.
I love these shows. Never know what shows, someone had some Bowser parts for the challenger…eh perfect as I had some broken parts.
Tom, in steam locos I have BLI’s and Proto 2000s and a Spectrum 2-8-0 with a Tsunami sound decoder in it. My favorite, by far, is the Spectrum. It’s just a great little engine.
