I finished this model last weekend. I have been working on and off on it for about 3 weekends now. I did the decals and final assembly on Sunday afternoon.

Looks great!
What are the white specks in the red paint?
Click on it. It gets bigger. They are stars. It is number 1776.
very nice!!! would you mind clueing us in on how you did it and what you used?
It started life as an undecorated Proto 2000 caboose. I left it stock as manufactured. The paint is fairly straightforward. White first then mask for each individual color. I tried something different with the decals though. I used Future floor finish for a gloss coat before I decaled it. I am sold on that method now. The decal seems to melt right into the clear when the solvent is applied. I had a set of microscale decals but the stars were just round dots so I did not use them. Instead I created my own decals which are much crisper and more detailed.

Very nice paint job. I do alot of custom painting so I can appreciate the effort. Even as one big Decal. Those stars would drive me NUTS!!!
