My wife used my Future.......

…floor polish to polish the floors!!! What was she thinking??? Will they ever learn???

That’s OK, Smitty. You’ve probably used a bunch of her kitchen utensils without telling her!! LOL

(I hope she doesn’t read this!)

Darrell, quiet…for now

I will neither confirm nor deny that.[;)]

You can use Future to polish floors? Wow. Next thing you’ll know is that someone will tell me those 1 inch foam boards can be used to insulate houses and stuff.

Tell her you want some of her best nailpolish to beautify some of your Peco turnout frogs and you’ll be square.

They’ll be wanting to put furniture and drapes in rooms instead of layouts next! Imagine putting the lawn mower in a garden shed instead of the terminus for your garden line . . .
maybe one of these tv claim companies could sue for you . . second thought, maybe not they’d probably try it.[:O]

…or that a certain silver-colored tape can be used to seal heating duct seams…

Isn’t it amazing that so many people can find alternative uses for our model railroading tools?

Can you imagine flipping eggs or hamburgers with the same tools we use to smooth out and shape our plaster? How about our ballast spreading tools being used to eat things like soup? Why, I once walked into a friend’s house and his wife was using his excess scenery vacuum tool to clean the CARPETS!! What nerve!

I guess if we are going to prevent this sort of thing from becoming commonplace, we will have to take measures to properly secure our tools and supplies in a locked closet. Fortunately, the perpetrators of these deeds ARE pretty nice people, so maybe it’s in our best interests to just smile look the other way.

Darrell, what’s that in my cheek? Oh, my tongue!, and quiet…for now

Or that you can use clear nail polish to paint your fingernails. [:D]

Well, at least I am not the only one with these problems.

The nerve of that woman!!!

“That” problem is called marriage… and it is pervasive. [:P] Luckily for most of us, it is not a terminal and can be quite rewarding most of the time. When not, well, that is what model railroading (in the basement) is for. [:o]

Brian

Remind me again, Brian. Which part can be quite rewarding most of the time?

ROFLMAO

Darrell, quiet…for now

Maybe I just haven’t heard this kink yet, but what is the modeling use of Future floor polish?

I use it to seal the paint finish on my passenger cars. But this floor polishing business??? That is ridiculous!!!

Future floor polish is the best thing I have found for model windshields and canopies for those who model more than trains. The scratches disappear and if you mess it up the first time, Windex will remove it for another try. Also is as good as a clear coat for decals for flat painted military models. You can go over it with flat clear after the decals are applied. I either dip small parts or airbrush it on. It is water soluable before drying but I run windex through the airbrush just to make sure it is cleaned out.

I also have used it on old vinyl floors. I didn’t know others did that!!! TARP
