Went to the grocery store today, as a train was goin by.
There was a Boxcar that i couldn’t Determine who owned it or get my cam out in time to photograph it.
It was standard oxide red 50 foot box car. It’s main distinguishing feature was a small 2ft in diameter White circle logo.
Who owns it. If it is any help it was on a manifest train on NS’s A-Line in the Knoxville,TN suburb of Bearden east of John Sevir yard.
Any box car with a logo on it these days is pretty rare. From what you’ve described, I’m thinking it was the pre-swoosh BNSF logo. That’s the only circular one I can think of, and the size would be close.
Sounds to me like it could be Midwest Railcar.
Matt
It was a solid white circle.

Where was it on the car side? Some time ago certain autoracks had a yellow circle for something to do with the wheel size. Could be something similar.
It was on the upper right area of the car. and it was probably 2-3 feet in diameter.
Ok, I did a lil research…it was an MWCX Boxcar as suggested earlier. Thanks for your help guys!
“D’oh!” Moment Number 2 for me today.
I want to say it’s owned by Evergreen, or something along those lines. I’ve seen a few on the DGNO here in the D/FW area.
It was well I had finished my coffee!
