my n and w j in n scale ,the headlight wont go off i even tried two different decoders and reset both of them ,still nothing i noticed the wires com ing from the engine are rubbed bare on the frame halves ,could this be the problem ? if so how the heck do you remove the shell to replace the cheesey wires with something with insulation on them thanks .
Cant help you with the light issue, but in terms of the wires, they are fine. They are wires from a magnet, and they ARE insulated. What is rubbing off is the paint that Bachmann used.
