N gauge motor sources?

Hello all:

I have 2 old Atlas RS 1 (UP) engines that need motors. These engines are of great sentimental value and I would love to see them running again. Anyone have any idea of any sources for the motors for these engines?

Take pics- may help in the search, and I bet myself or another guy here can point you in the right direction! NWSL (Northwest short line) used to provide can motors and flywheels, dunno if they still do?

The motor for the original issue RS-1 (Japan), a Kato motor, may no longer be available from Atlas, but as the Kato motor hasn’t changed you can get it from Kato USA, The newer re-issue “Classic” version has the Chinese clone motor which works just as well and is available from Atlas.

Jay - He needs an N scale motor[yeah]

If it is the Atlas/Kato model, the N scale motor does show to still be available.

I have an old first release Atlas RS3 with the same deal… I bought the latest RS3 and put the shell on the new frame… took a little doing but now my old engine runs great… Don’t know if this helps but just a thought…
