N gauge

Does anyone know who makes an uncoupler for N gauge track? I found one on the internet but lost the web site.
Please let me know if you have any infromation.

I think Kadee has one.

Check the Walthers website at “www.walthers.com”. They have an excellent search engine and distribute almost all lines of N scale track. If you are looking for an uncoupling device for Rapido style couplers, it will almost certainly be from a European company, as almost everyone in the US is converting to Micro-Trains or similar knuckle couplers.

I presume you mean for Rapido style couplers.
Model Power, I believe, used to make an electro-magnetic uncoupler ramp set in a section of track approx 3 inches long. I purchased 15 of them in 1980/81 while on an extended visit to the USA to fit to my layout when I built it. They are still fitted although I have changed to Micro-Trains couplers.
I believe that Peco and Fleischmann also made similar devices. I don’t know whether they are still available. From memory the Peco type mounted under the layout whereas the type I have has the electromagnet alongside the track
Hope this helps

For a very inexpencive manual uncoupler that can be use any were on tour layout, try a sharp tooth pick in a dowel rod handle. Just insert the point between the knuckles give a little twist and wa-la. Works great for HO too.
