Hello, I recently heard that there will be an N-scale acela made.
Does anyone have any informationon this if it is true?
Thanks,
Andrew
I’m a “big” Amtrak fan myself, but no, haven’t heard a thing. You wouldn’t happen to know who might be producing it would you ?. Kato would be my first suspect…

Bachmann Spectrum is producing this model, with new Amfleet coaches & HH locos. Should be available later this year. Hope Bachmann takes their time to do it right. Bachmann needs a winner in their Nscale line!
I’m much more a fan of Canadian passenger trains, and European and Japanese high speed passenger trains. But the Acela is the only Amtrak train I would consider getting.
I hope that it will be available soon (in N-scale).
PS: I went to Bachmann’s web site. Their N-scale Acelas are available now.
Sorry to be slightly off topic, but Timothy, do you know of any VIA blue/yellow passenger cars in N scale?
No, I don’t, sorry.
I do have N-scale VIA Rail cars; but the silver/blue ones typically used for The Canadian (Toronto-Vancouver); and, until recently, for The Ocean (Montreal-Halifax). Con-cor makes those.
As for the blue-yellow ones, I haven’t a clue. I’ll see if I can find out.
Personally, I’d like to get some LRC or the new Renaisance cars; but I don’t know if anyone makes those either.
PS: I found the cars you’re looking for at Walters …

Or directly from Con-Cor at …

I wonder if the brakes fail on this one just like on the prototype.
