Many people like myself model the 1950s era because they can run steam and diesel together. I am having trouble finding N Scale 1940-50s Automobiles and Trucks, I have done many searches on the internet but there seems to be very little available.
There is next to nothing available in Aussie hobby shops, any help in locating vehicles would be much appreciated.
Mini Metals is probably exactly what you’re looking for. They carry a large variety of 1950s N scale cars, trucks and semi trucks. You might try eBay and Discount Trains On-line. I have a few that I’ll be auctioning off there myself in a week or two.

I second that. I model 1956 and use CMW Mini Metals exclusively!

8321 - Fire chief’s car and fire department service vehicle, currently available, but out of stock at Walthers. Check online retailers or eBay. US MSRP is $13.99
8322 - Police car and Dept. of Public Works pickup, currently available and in stock at Walthers as No. 189-8322 for $13.99.
Page 23 of the Oct MR has an ad for TOMYTEC with N Scale vehicles. No web site but they have an email and phone number for inquiries.
