N scale baseball game (w/ pics)!

I ran across these and though I would share them. On my former layout I scratchbuilt an N scale little league baseball diamond with game in progress. I had to hand paint all of the uniforms and reposition the players stances from other figures as no baseball players were available in N scale at the time. The scene was never quite complete as I planned to add spectators in the stands and of course the track around the are was never ballasted. Not long after these photos were taken (I’m no photographer, I know) my cat ate–yes ATE–the figures in the field [:(!], then I had to dismantle the layout for a move (new layout under construction). Anyway, though you might enjoy them.

That is nice work. Also good reason to have a dog. Will there be a field on the new layout?

Not bad, bot bad at all. I was thinking for my HO layout, I would put a motorcross track or something.

I was thinking about submitting a how-to article to MR about how I made the field itself. It was an interesting process.

The players might have been Little League, but the modelling belongs in the Majors. Good work. I don’t have the discipline for that. If I had enough space for a ballpark, I’d end up running another siding into it.

The next layout could have a domed stadium. Cat won’t eat the players then…

Sorry ladies and gentlemen but this game is being called due to an attack from a 50 foot cat.[(-D] Years ago On my old layout one of my cats helped himself to some of my LifeLike trees.
