n scale books

Has anyone used an online book called "Model Train Help? Opinions? Thanks. Sid

Extremely overpriced collection of fairly common knowledge repackaged from the Internet and other sources. Their suggested layout plans are terrible, for one thing. If it cost $5-10, it might be worth it, but they’ve built their business model on having Internet “Associates” sell it for big commissions – so they have to keep the price artificially high.

Instead, I’d suggest that you buy a couple of quality books from traditional publishers. It will cost less and be a solid source of information. Marty McGuirk’s N scale book is a good overall source.

Many Kalmbach titles may also be purchased through Amazon and other sources.

Kalmbach published a very nice book with David Popp building his New Haven layout.
