Been having problems with new MicroTrain couplers uncoupling over the magnets… If i try with some new cars or newly converted cars , they will not uncouple… Older cars ( and i got really old ones) all work fine… I adjust the uncoupling pins and squirt grease-um ( the Kadee graphite stuff) into the box , but still have problems Anyone else having this and what have you done to fix the problem???

N scale has the problem of the jerky motion caused by the coupler centering springs causing the cars to uncouple over the magnets. For this reason I do not use magnets but have switched to the use of rix pic’s. There are small truck restraining springs that micro trains sells that go between the truck sideframe and the wheel on one sxle of each car to retard the jerking of the train over the magnets. This might put more tension on the couplers and may slow down your trains a little. You don’t have to use the springs on every car though.
