N Scale Couplers

I know this has probably been asked, but I looked back at least 6 pages and could not find the answer. I’ve also never had any luck with the search feature at this site.

At any rate…

  1. Are the squareish couplers on Bachmann and Life Like Rapido couplers?

  2. Are the AccuMate knuckle couplers on Atlas or the Kaydee knuckle couplers everyone talks about compatible with the Rapido couplers?

  3. Are the AccuMate and Kaydee couplers compatible with each other?

Roadtrp. Yes the squarish couplers are called rapido couplers. The knuckle type couplers are not compatible with rapido type, but the different brands of knuckle are compatible with each other.

Thanks for the information. That’s what I thought, but being a rookie I wanted to make sure. It seems half the time when I just assume something I end up being wrong.
