N-Scale drawer size layouts

Im looking to create an N-scale layout in a box maybe 36"x36" that maybe at tall as 12". I saw a man at the last show i attendes building one that was almost that size. I live in an apartment, so im looking for something i can put under a bed or in a closet. Inve the layout has been glued and scenery added, it would be attached to the inside of the box and a lid made so that it could be transported. Has anyone seen a ready made box for this or have any ideas. I really cant wait to start building, i have been reading and shopping for about 4 months and im ready to start tinkering.

Carl Arendt has collected an huge number of tiny layout designs , i hope you find something useful there .

as far as the box idea , sounds good but i haven’t seen anything like that . shouldn’t be too hard though

Thanks for the link, some interesting ideas like the BBQ Train. Im working on some ideas, if i get it rolling i will post some pics

My “Lighter than Air” Railroad is 2’ x 3’ and includes the “world’s largest wooden building” (but only painted on the background). If I put it in a box, the box would have to be about 2 or 3 inches bigger than 2x3’. The “Lighter than Air” name does not directly refer to the railroad, but the railroad has that name because it services a base for lighter-than-air blimps.
