N scale fruit trees

For my small layout I need about 6-8 N scale fruit trees. I have seen a book titled “N scale layout that grows” with a picture of some really good looking trees. Unfortunately, they don’t list the manufacturer. I think that they are made by Noch, and item #12250. Walthers online searches proved fruitless (pun intended) and the pictures are blurry. Plus, they list this item as containing only 3 trees but the picture shows 5- in the picture, only three have fruit.

Looking for the item online, it shows even more blurry pictures so I cannot confirm it is what I want. And, some sites list this item as HO scale, not N. I don’t want a tree that is to large to be realistic.

Any ideas? Anyone ever bought this item and would be wililng to take a picture or two for me so I can see what they actually look like? Thanks.

A gentleman running a store in California (Z scale Hobo) had exactly the number I needed and was very friendly to talk to. I ordered them and we shall see what turns up!

I found this 4 pack of fruit trees at $6 for you:

They look the best of any I found. I assume you want fruit on the tree, and no the blooming fruit trees?

Her are some Busch fruit trees pack or 18 at $10.39:

Hope it helps

I made my own by making a regular tree and sprinkling some red ground foam from WS on it.

I’m modeling apple trees on my HO layout, too. I live in Yakima, Washington where there are lots of fruit trees. The prototype/real trees are only about 12-15 feet tall (approx 4+ meters). The fruit is picked by hand so the workers don’t want to spend a lot a time climbing up and down the ladders. They get paid by how much they pick. (it’s also a safety issue). The trees are pruned at a consistent height. For my HO layout the trees would be about 2 inches (50mm) tall. For N scale it would be about half that. I’m also considering to NOT model the apples on the trees. The fruit is only visible for about 4-8 weeks. Initially, the immature fruit is small and green (the same color as the leaves) and only gets its color a month or two before harvest in the fall. This past November I attended a train show in Seattle and found some trees that would work. I’m sorry I didn’t buy them there so now I will buy them on line at www.hjtrainstore.com They have a variety of trees in various sizes with and without leaves. I hope they work for you, too.
