N scale hoppers from Exactrail

Hiya,

Recently I bought some nice hoppers from Exactrail. Compared to other hoppers from Ahearn and Bachmann I noticed some size difference. The ones from Exactrail are larger.

So anyone got experience with it and which of the brands represents the (almost) precise scale?

You could measure them with a scale ruler and find out which is most accurate.

Hoppers come in many sizes and lengths. You would have to be sure you were comparing the same model hoppers, ie. 55T to 55T, not to a 40’ quad.

I remember watching trains roll by with hoppers of different heights as well as different lengths.

Hoppers come in various sizes and shapes.The PS-2CD 4427 Covered Hopper and PS-2CD 4000 Covered Hopper are different sizes due to the capacity of each car.A Trinity 5161 should be larger then the previous two hoppers.A 2 bay ACF 2970 will be smaller of course.
