Not sure is anyone is familiar with the Interail N scale intermodal kits. 5 cars that have standars couplers on the ends of the outer cars and the inner cars they are attached by plates and tiny screws. I bought this kit off ebay which is pretty rare and the plates and tiny screws are missing. Is anyone familiar with these and maybe have any alternative ideas on what I can use to attach the cars together? Thanks!
It looks like a company named Deluxe Innovations has taken over InterRail.

Maybe you can contact them directly.
Mike.
Awesome I will do that. Hopefully I will have some luck there. Otherwise I am going to have to get really creative. Thanks Mike
OK so after doing some more research I found out that Deluxe Innovations is basically out of business and there are quite a few people that have tried to reach Dave for fix kits for their well car sets (tiny washers that stop the trucks from rubbing on the bottom of the cars) and have had no luck getting a response or their fix kits. So I am back at square 1. I will try to fabricate my tiny washers from styrene but I still need to find very tiny screws and also the plastic bushings. Anyone have any ideas and familiar with Interail or Deluxe Innovations car sets?
Did you check MTL / Kadee? They have (had) little paper washers that might fit the bill. Also, maybe the 0-80 (00-90?) screws for their couplers may fit for the drawbars.
I just checked out their website and it appears those screws are meant for HO scale so not sure they would work out. Thinking maybe eyeglass repair kits may work but don’t know yet.
Micro Trains is Z/N …
Oh I know that. I was looking at Kadee. I did a search from their search box. Maybe I ended up looking at the wrong thing.
That was my next thought, eye glass repair kits.
Good luck!
Mike.
Yeah, it’s been forever since I used their (Kadee’s) site - it used to link out to MTL if you hit the ‘n scale’ button.
Looks like they got rid of that at some point - oh well, just go straight to microtrains.com, and you should be able to find the things you need.
Glasses repair kit may work, though I recall they tend to use metric sizes, so it may not fit right.
Yeah I didn’t even see an N scale section on the site. Micro Trains only seems to have 1 size screw and nothing else. I ordered a 1000 piece eyeglass repair kit with a bunch of different size screws, plus nuts and washers so fingers crossed I will be able to make something work with just that. The original screws appeared to be very tiny self taping screws that threaded as they were tightened or at least thats what I gather from the instructions. Ill Let you guys know how I make out when it arrives. Thanks!
