A couple of the 18" grabs are in place on this side, as are the MU hoses at the rear.
Still have to add the 18" grabs on this side, but the uncoupling lever is finished.
Roof details. I need to fix the expansion tank fill, it’s crooked. Those horns look like crap
The problem here is that this paint scheme is nonprototypical. I really like it, though, so I shall keep it (Eat that, rivet counters!). The prototype scheme had blue along the bottom of the carbody instead of gray. This is also the wrong locomotive. The demonstrators were DR4-4-1500s-babyfaces in shark suits.The difference was in the side panels and fuel fillers being in a different location as well as 100 fewer hp.
Anyway, since I like the scheme I have decided that it is fitting of an RF16. Since these are freelanced anyway, I’m changing a couple of details. All the changes will be prototypical of what was available from Baldwin, even if the combination was never used on a real locomotive.
