N scale steam loco decoders

I am new to the forum, this is my first post.
I am just getting started on an N scale layout and have purchased MRC PA for control. I have 2 steam locos; Kato 2-8-2 Mikado and Model Power 4-6-2 Pacific. Is it possible to put decoders in these 2 locos? If so what decoder would you recommend? PH

Check the TCS, Digitrax, and NCE web sites, they have decoder recommendations for many models. N scale is usually tough, but not steam, you have that big space in the tender to work with on most of them.

A Digitrax 123 or 143 or a Lenz gold, those are all decoders that work well in N scale steam.
