Im looking to model loading facilities for tank cars [from LPG to ethanol and other chemicals] but such kits in N Scale seem hard to find. Any ideas on how I could scratch build liquid transfer depots.

Have you checked the Walthers catalog? I don’t have the N scale one to look. You could also check their website. I know in HO they have several items in your catagories, but not sure if they carry over into N.

You have to check out TrainCat Scale Models. Bob is an N scaler, and he produces some amazingly detailed etched brass kits. His line includes a lot of rail service facilities, including tank car loaders, as well as ramps for auto racks, signal bridges, and a vast array of other details.

I have tried the Walthers cat, but they dont do all the items as they do in HO.

Their brass tank loading platform looks really nice. I won’t necessarily model tank car loading but I think I might still get one of these kits.
