N scale track spacing

I’m sorry if this has been asked a million times before, I couldn’t find the answer on any searches. What is the recommended spacing between parallel tracks for N scale?

i use 1 3/4" spacing between main line tracks and 1 1/4" to 1 3/8" in my yards. i don’t know what the recomended spacing is but what i used looks ok for me.

I’m not sure, but you have to be a lot more careful on the curves, especially with larger equipment. Try using the distance a switch track gives when you you use it to split a line into two parallel lines. Seems to work for me

The answer, of course, is “it depends.” Equipment length and curve radius are the major factors. The answers can be on the table at found at:

The magic number is generally between 1-3/16 and 1-3/8". My guess is most people use 1-1/4".

I was thinking it would be close to 1-1/4 since that’s half of what I used for HO, just wanted to be sure though.
