I have been building this bridge and need some advice.

When is the best time to add the tracks? Would it be better to install the tracks after the bridge is finished and weathered, or should I install the tracks and then do the weathering?
Since the bridge has trusses on the top, it looks like it would be difficult to install the tracks after I put the trusses on the top but then it would be difficult to do the weathering with the tracks installed.
I would like to here ypur opinions on this subjest being I have never built a truss bridge before. I think it will be nice across the river when I get to that point. Thanks for all the help. Mike
You can build the bridge and not glue on the top, paint and weather it. Then remove the top and add the track and put the top back on. If it needs additional painting or weathering, pull some tape or cardboard through and place on top of the tracks. Laying the the track after the top is on can be done but it’s far more enjoyable to do so before it’s in place.
I built mine completely then slid the track in after the fact. I used Micro Engineering c55 bridge track and mounted it with a couple of drops of CA and some small clamps.
I found this helpful in squaring up the truss, because the fit and finish of the kit is a little sketchy, and required a lot of filing and fixing.

The biggest annoyance of building this kit is the fit of the parts in the base. Every thing else fits great if I remember right. I just happened to have a small flat needle file that was just the right width for widening all the slots in the girders. Without that, I don’t know how long it would have taken to make them fit right. And as usual, after I built two of them Kato come out with an RTR. Micro Engineering c55 or c70 bridge track makes any nscale bridge that much better.
