N scale vehicle lights

Anyone have an article how to retrofit N scale vehicle lights onto cars and trucks?

I bought ten 0.75mm lights that I plan to drill out the plastic lights in my N scale Ford Taurus’s and Mack R trucks and install them so the lights light up. I plan on wiring them in parallel so if one light doesn’t work then the rest will still work. I also plan on wiring these up to a switch on the fascia so I can turn them on and off.

0.75mm? Got pics?

I will have to wire at least eight in series to get a 12 volt load.

Why would you want to wire them in series? If one burns out or a connection comes loose all of them will go dark. Just wire a 680 ohm, 1/4 watt resistor in series with each one and connect them in parallel with the 12 volts. That will reduce the 12 volts to 1.5 volts and the current to 20 mA for each lamp.
