N&W 611, 1218 roll out for weekend photo shoot
I recently made a very small contribution to the fund for firing up 611 and have searched for information on how much has been raised so far, without success.

I hope you attended the roll out of the 611 and the 1218 so we West Coast Fans can have a good look at these great engines.
It is my fond hope that eventually one or both of these locomotives will be restored and brought back for rail excursions. I think it was in 1990 I was on a \n excursion trip from Kansas City to Neosho, Mo. and back with 1218 pulling the train. It was a fantastic experience, one that I have not forgotten.
I wish we could have found out before they were rolled out, so others could have seen & photographed them!

I just received a very nice poster from VMT on restoring the 611. Several months ago I saw an article talking about how much it might cost. If there an update on what it will cos to get 611 under steam. I plan on making a contribution, but would like some figures first.
