I got this as part of a box of HO scale white metal details. It may not even be HO scale. The large “wheel” is 1" in diameter.
Anyone recognize what this is or who manufactured it?
Just a guess, but looks like the end from a cable drum on a winch with a mechanical brake assembly. The presence of various hooks suggests some sort of lifting mechanism…?
Could these have to do with model shipbuilding? Several parts look like they may be part of some kind of winch assembly. I could be way wrong about this, but don’t remember seeing these before.
I believe I saw those parts on a craftsmen site. They look like part of a small ,hand-cranked gantry type crane, the big wheel is the base, you’re missing quite a lot of parts to the crane, I think, mh
Looks like random parts from a drum winch kit or overhead shop drive belt or crane set. possible kit companies include: Rio Grande Models or Western scale models
