Narrow Gauge Steam Videos Posted

In August I attended the National Narrow Gauge Convention held in Durango, Colorado with two friends. I shot a whole bunch of digital photos, and also used my digital camera to shoot some video of the steam engines and other stuff on the Durango & Silverton Railroad and the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad. Both are 3 foot narrow gauge railroads.

The video I shot is mostly shorter sequences that I’ve edited together. No stories or complete train trips, just some neat steam engines in action.

Here are the five video segments I’ve posted on YouTube. The numbers after the title are the lengths of the clips in minutes and seconds:

  1. D&S Double Header Steam 03:47

Hi Bob,
Thanks! I especially enjoyed the modules at the NNGC.

Since I’ve returned to academia, making it to he NNGC has been pretty much out of the question. I did squeeze in most of the last St. Louis convention, but its timing is otherwise an impossibility now for me until retirement.

I also enjoyed the WP&Y video. My parents cruised Alaska in summer 2005. It looks easily as spectacular as anything in Colorado.
