Nashville WGH Show. Anybody Going?

I can’t believe I’m going to have the time AND money to go to the WGH show next weekend! I haven’t decided whether to go early Saturday and fight the crowds to try and find some deals or just go Sunday when everyone is in church and there’s some elbow room. I’ve never been to a show that big before.
Any other locals going??

I’ll be going to the WGH show here in Cleveland in March. It will be at the I-X Center. I went to one in Monroeville, PA a couple of years ago. It was a very good show but VERY crowded.

Tom, you should skip the Nashville show and come up and visit your old stomping grounds the 2nd weekend in March. [:)]

Tom

I’ll probably be there around mid-day Saturday (what better way to spend Valentine’s Day than attend the show while my wife attends a quilting thing-a-ma-jig).[:D]

I’ll be there on Sat.

I’m planning on attending on Saturday. I will be there with 2 other mrr’ers. If you people would like to meet each other, we can set a time and plce for that. Perhaps, the food stand at 12:30.

I’ll plan to be there at 12:30 (I’ll be the baldheaded guy).

OK, sounds like it’s Saturday for me too! Is there only one food stand at these?? I’ll have on a white ball cap and light grey jacket.

Tom-I could go to the Cleveland show, but think of the money I’d waste on gas and hotel that I could be spending on train stuff![:P]

I’ll be at the Nashville show. We went a few years without any national shows, and now we’ll have had two already this year! I hope it is well-attended. Gregg

Southbound Trains is talking about rescheduling their December show for this summer too! Hopefully they’ll move it back to the Franklin Tn. location.

Wonder if Kalmbach will have a booth at the WGH?

Kalmbach is listed on the WGH website as a sponsor & participant, so, maybe?[:)]

I have a friend who will be a dealer at the show. it might be easier to meet at his table. I’ll look for this thread in a couple of days to post info. or send a PM or email to me.

My only concern about meeting at the food court is if there’s more than one food court. I know big convention center shows I’ve been to in the past had multiple eateries.(could get confusing) I’m going to E-mail Bergie and see if Kalmbach is going to have a booth and who might be there. (you know there would only be one Kalmbach booth) Maybe do a group photo for the forum??

Lets play it by ear for a few days (unless someone knows for sure about only one food court) I’ll dredge this thread back up later in the week and we can have a definite game plan. Sound good??[:)]

Yea…but think of ALL the great railfanning that you could do along the way. [^][tup]

Tom

OK, I heard back from Bergie. No Kalmbach booth…I guess the main food court at 12:30 Sat. would be the logical choice.
All in favor, signify be saying Hrrrumph! (Blazing Saddles…[^])

I was planning on going to this one, then my three N-scale Dash 8-40Cs arrived at the hobby shop over the weekend. At least I paid for Atlas’ gas money there & back [:D] Jamie

Temps expected:
Saturday 56H 36L
Sunday 50H 31L

I’ll be going Saturday!. Not too sure about a “food court”

I’m planning to be there.

Im coming from Birmingham Alabama, Im going to be there on Saturday, This will be my first show[:D]

I enjoyed one in Atlanta a few years ago. Getting through the traffic out of Atlanta was a little tricky. I missed the n-scale convention in Louisville due to the birth of a grandson, so I’m looking forward to it too.

I’ll be there at the Dixie club’s table, ask for Dave.
