Has anyone heard as to an estimated date for the smart booster release date?
Nuts, John! I thought by the title that you had some info…[:(]
Tom
Are you referring to the SB3 ?
Sorry Tom, last time I heard anything was a few weeks ago and I thought it should be close. Maybe I will just order one and let it stay on back-order to better insure I get one. I already have the third throttle and operators waiting.
Dick, I don’t think the DB3 will do the same thing for the powercab as the smart booster. The smart booster seems to be more of a booster and base station in one so you could then move the powercab throttle to any UTP.
Hey Tom, since the powercab becomes a fully operational throttle when used with the pro system do you know if the stack feature will also go to six with the smart booster?
I gotta say my mouth is watering for the smart booster as I had four people, mostly kids, in the garage at the layout running trains. I turned off all the lights leaving only the layout lights on and WOW everyone loved the shadow box look.
JOHN: I fired off an email to NCE and to Tony’s to see if they have more info, awaiting an answer, standby for update, hopefully today, but this IS Friday, and you know what that means. LOL
John,
Not that I’m aware of. I think it only does that when used in conjunction with the PH Pro. Would be nice, huh? [:D]
Tom
Good evening John, I just heard from Larry Larson at NCE, he said that Jim was struggling with the last few lines of code, and he expects the Smart Booster to ship NEXT WEEK !!! How about those apples John ??? !!!
Sweet! Thanks for the update, Dick! [:)]
Tom
I guess I now know where my monthly train allowance is going.
You can expect Tony’s to carry this real soon, like immediately after NCE ships, and the price will be lower than MSRP for sure at Tony’s. Let us know when you receive it, and how it performs.
I have seen some people state that you have to buy a 5 amp power supply for this as there is not one smaller than that. While ordering a SB3 I asked for the proper PS and was told by Litchfield Station that there is a PS315 that is just right. The PS315 was ommited from the online store for some reason.
