NCE track wire connector

Good morning, everyone,

I have an NCE Power Cab and the plug that connects the track wire to the power panel is missing. Does anyone know what that plug is called? I don’t see it on Tony’s or NCE’s website, and I’d like to order one from somewhere, but I just don’t know what to ask for.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Looking at the Reference Manual, I would call it Track Out Plug. You should call directly at NCE. They will be glad to help.

Contact NCE and they will probably send you a free replacement.

That’s exactly right. It is called the Track Out 2-pin plug.

And I agree with Guy, call Larry at NCE and he will provide a replacement plug.

I have a few extras of those. If you are interested, PM me and I can send one out to you tomorrow!

Guy, Cacole, Rich, Soilwork…Your help is appreciated. Thanks much.

I googled “electrical connecters” and 50 pages of pics showed nothing. I wondered what these things would be called outside the model railroad community.

I’m assuming the part with the screws is missing, and there is just a connector block with pin on the circuiot board?

“Terminal Block” works as well as anything in trying to find them. They come in many siuzes, from 2 terminals like the Powercab panel, to much larger ones. Digitrax uses a 7 pin version of the same thing for their terminal blocks.

John,

The plug arrived today: Thanks again. You made the world a better place.

Dave

Dave if all else fails, Digikey has the part . It is ED-1960-ND term block plug , 3.81 mm 2 pos @ 1.53. I emailed Larry at NCE, told me he would send it in a couple of days. Didn’t hear from him, I ordered it from DK.

You have a Digikey part number? The one listed above I can’t find?

Hey Dave, glad the part got there okay!

Thanks!

John

My Mistake it is ED1960-ND, put 2 dashes instead of One.
