NCVA 3808? or is it another mistyped unit on the hit list?

Apparently, the G&W-EPA “hit list” mentions NCVA 3808, a GP40CU. But as I performed a bit of research on NCVA 3808, I found photos of it between 2006 and 2014. And claims that it was sold to the Vermont Railway (VTR) just years before the 2023 G&W-EPA scandal happened, and is currently operating as VTR 207, with photos that date between 2012 (3808) and as late as 2024 (207).

Image for what I’m talking about:

So, I’m confused now, was there another locomotive that took the first 3808’s number? or was this another mistyped unit on the list? Could there two 3808s?

Can someone please clarify this? Because I’m confused now. If NCVA 3808 was a mistyped unit on the list, let me know in the replies on what the list was ACTUALLY supposed to mention for that 62nd locomotive.

I would like to know since I am really confused.

@Woke_Hoagland @Backshop Do you know this? Because I’m confused.

Update on this: Found out that it wasn’t a mistyped unit, but rather, there is TWO 3808s!

The listed one is NCVA 3808:2, whereas VTR 207 is actually NCVA 3808:1.

Hopefully this clarifies that.
