When I was at Grand Island several times a truck marked Nebraska Central RR turned in & went down to the UPRR yard office there. After some time he would depart again. Anybody know anything about this RR? [:o)][:p][:)]
It runs a lot of track it bought from UP, Grand Island to Ord, Brainard to Palmer, Columbus to Norfolk, Alboin and Spalding.I think it’s close to 10 years old.
It has (or had) ex ATSF GP7s 2058, 2086, 2101 and 2106 as well as GP38s 4200-04, and ex D&RGW SD45s 5315 and 5332.
HQ is in Columbus.
It is part of the Rio Grande Pacific family.
Aha so it is a real RR. I had never heard of it & thought maybe UPRR was trying to protect the rights to another fallen flag. Thanks [:o)][:p]

Why didn’t you look for the Filmore & Western at Strang?
Never heard of the F & W & Strang was not on my route. The only reason I asked about the NCRR is I saw a truck marked Nebraska Central RR enter the UPRR yard at Grand Island. [:o)][:)]
