Hello
New to the hobby here. My son was begging for a set and now we are both getting into it. We are using and commited to FASTRACK. The problem is we are limited in space to 4x7 max. I want to do something interesing with at least a complete loop and maybe an inner loop and swithches. I found a 4x8 plan but that is just a foot too big.
Can anyone help by giving me a link or copies of plans for a good fastrack 4x7. Need to keep it 4x7 to keep peace with my wife!
Thanks!!!

4x8’s are essentially ‘loops’ around the Xmas tree mounted on a permanent board.
A 7X4 merely trims a foot off the straight sections, and uses 18"r curves…
FRANKLY why dont you go to ‘N’ gauge. A 3X7 will give you twice the railroading and use up half the floor space - by eliminating walk - around’s… and of course also keeping ‘piece’ with your wife.

I agree with Don. I was COMMITTED to EZ track–big mistake. With the investment that goes into a layout, I wish I would have bit the bullet in the beginning and cut my losses. I have just spent the better part of 3 months not able to run, because I was fixing EZ track.
But it may be a lesson you have to learn for yourself. I was warned and didn’t listen.
If 4 x 7 is your limit, cut your losses and go to N scale. You’ll get 4 times the railroad in the space.
