I have more FP-45’s than I need and want a C44-9W. I have been staying away from E-Bay for now. What little I know C44-9W where only made by Kato or Athrearn in blue box trim.
I am DC only as of now but hope soon to go DCC, Tstage check will be in the mail Monday. As far as sound, not worried about it, don’t care for the sound from a DCC set up so far. I am very pickey about sound but that is a driffrent story.
I have 4 Amtrack FP-45’s Blue boxes. Some have metal trucks some chrome. I have replaced motors in 2 I think with newer Athearn motors used in the Superweight engines. I have hard wired one only at this point.

Reason the PK2 E-6 was in the PIC is because I have a Under Coated Dummy E-6 A I have no use for.
This PIC shows one Amtrack with out grap rails, sorry I never got then from the person I bought it from.

This PIC shows a Yellow Milwaukee FP-45. Seems the ladders where cut off to clear 18" turns. It is the older Blue Box with the sort of round can motor. It was in sad shape when I got it. Axels where frozzen and pulled more amps than I could handle. Hard wired and new motor and runs great. To bad the ladders where cut off and no Grap rails. It has the older Steel flywheels.
Then there is the FP-45 War Bonnet, it is on a dummy chassis as of now. To tell the truth I want to keep it, but for the right deal it could be had.
Blue B&O is a LL and not sure what to think of it. Kind of in the middle between Cheap Pan Cake engine and PK1’s. Must be the missing link. Only 8 of the 12 wheels are driven, has a Can Motor, no flywheels and low amp draw. But it is light and will only pull 9 cars up
