I bought a Walthers Tranline GP15-1 off of Ebay from a hobby store which apparently got it second-hand. It’s in good shape with all the parts still bagged but the bottom (the fuel tank weighted area) has some sort of sticky material on it–like someone put a label on it but much much more sticky. I have tried household grease cutter and then hobby paint thinner but it’s still there. Can anyone recommend a good solvent to use? I don’t deal with cleaning solvents that much but I can tell that to get whatever this stuff is off, I’ll need one.
I would try isopropyl alcohol first. If that doesn’t cut it, try Simple Green sparingly. Test the Green first as it will take paint off as well.
Good luck,
BB
Try Goo Gone. Should work well to take off adhesives…
bruce and gary have the top two ideas
try them and good luck
Hi There;
Spray a little WD40 on a cloth & wipe.
