I am interested in getting this coal loading accessory for my layout:

My question is, is this like the 97 coal loader where the coal is stored in the tower UNTIL the user pushes a button to allow the coal to low down the chute? Or, does the coal that gets deposited in the tower simply flow out of the chute and into the waiting car?
I have this accessory and it is quite well made and works very well. The coal is stored in the body of the loader and there is a seperate button to unload it out the back chute and into a car. I load mine into the bin (made for the coal ramp) on my 397 coal loader and it then goes up the conveyor to another car. Pointless of-course but still a lot of fun.
