Need colors for weathering and scenery

What colors, brushes & dyes do most MRR’s have on hand? I am trying to get my list right before going down to the local store and purchasing them. If you could give me a list of what you always have, hard to find stuff etc. I am the type of person that always has to go back to the store in the middle of a project because I either forgot something, or had to change the plan [:D].

Thanks in advance…

Brushes, cheap assortment of various sizes from someplace like Hobby Lobby, one very good very small brush, pointed toothpicks, double action airbrush with compressor.

Colors depends a lot on where you are modeling. Rust, black, grays for concrete & stone, several greens for vegetation. brick red, colors for your buildings. The good news is you can use inexpensive craft paints for most things. Clear dulcoat.

Black India ink for washes to weather with. Earth tone chalks for weathering or special weathering powders.

Don’t worry you don’t need everything at once.

For scenery try Woodland Scenics’ Earth Color Kit Item # C1215 on-line price is $18

Then buy larger bottles of individual colors. Also dilute and mix for a large variety of scenery colors.
