When I finally got around to using the decals from my old Walthers “Centennial Mills” HO background building kit, I had some trouble. Apparently the decals were too old and disintegrated in water. (If I had suspected a problem, I would have sprayed the decal sheet with Dullcote.)
All I really need is the large “Robin Hood Flour” part of the decal sheet that comes with the Centennial Mills or Red Wing Milling HO kits. (The part of the layout the building will be in is set in Canada, and Robin Hood started in Canada and is still a major flour brand there.)
IF someone has that kit and doesn’t need the Robin Hood Flour part of the decal, I’d love to get it from you. Of course I’d be glad to reimburse anyone for the postage and their trouble!! I know we can’t buy and sell stuff on this site, but I’m sure this doesn’t break any rules(??)
Send me a PM, with Add. and I’ll mail them to You. I’m from the Chgo. area. I only used the Centennial Mills and Pillsbury logo, everything else is there and in great shape. No need for $$, it will be a gift.

I did mine for Powder Milk Biscuits, so I’ve still got the big top banner decals. If all else fails, send me a PM. I can scan them and print new decals.
I’ve had problems with old decals from several manufacturers. Old stock, I suppose.
My PMs work fine, but I wasn’t getting e-mail notifications, so I had to check them manually. I just discovered a “setting” for notifications that was turned off. That might have gotten reset during one of the forum software updates.
I built my Centennial Mills (background building version) two-sided, placed at an angle to the wall.
The other half of the kit, which was a nice bonus to find in the box, ended up as a mirror image on the far wall.
My daughter was taking biology labs and genetics at the time, and mentioned Drosophila Melanogaster, the Latin name for the fruit fly. I thought it was appropriate.
I am receiving a notification that someone has sent me a PM via my personal e-mail. But what I’m not seeing is the “messages” word turn red when there is a message for me. I thought that it used to do this. Has this been eliminated, or is there another box that needs to be checked (and if so, which one is it?)?
Hi, I did get your message in my home e-mail last night and replied. I got your follow-up message today and tried replying both thru the PM and from my home e-mail both. I hope one or the other got thru!!
Stix … Before the second message, I did turn on the setting to receive email notification of messages from this forum. It worked, becauuse I did receive an email with our reply.
I have not been online until now…I got Your Msg. and replied. I don’t have any problem’s with PM’s, they go right to My inbox on e-mail. That red notification has not worked since they changed the system.
Garry…I suggest You give them a call about PM’s. You can try and reset all Your settings, but I believe it’s Your browser, some thing is set wrong.
Frank … I finally was able to communicate with Stix and just sent him 2 of my 3 sheets of decals for the flour mill. … I changed the one setting to receive email notifications, and it opened up the messages after that. … I’m using an I-Mac with Safari which should work with the Forum software. . … Technology drives me crazy at times.
