Need G Scale Windows - help

I would like to do some modelling of EBT.

My biggest hangup at this point is windows.

I need an industrial size approx 4’ x 8’ - 3 paines by 6 paines,

also some 4’ by 4’ 3 by 3.

Any recommendations as to where I should look, or what I should try?

Mark out your window frame on some abs sheet. Score around the lines with a needle. Press out rectangular shapes. Place grid on sheet of perspex. Trim to size. Use epoxy not CA to bond two sheets together (unless you want crazed glass effect).

That is how I make mine.

Build a jig, get some plastic strip, say .060 or .080 and build your own.

I have a very brief set of instructions and photographs on my website: http://www.jbrr.com/html/building_windows.html

Thanks for the quick response, it gives me some ideas to play with. [:)]

Go for it.

Don’t forget the doors! [:)]

BTW. I really liked the web site.[:)]

You may want to look at Grandt Line’s windows. There’s nothing there as large as what you’d need (I’m assuming you want to do the shop windows). There are 3 x 6 pane windows there that match the windows used in many of the EBT’s depots.
