Hi everyone,
I want to start building my first laser cut wood structure kit this weekend. I was impressed with some techniques (specfically the one about dying the wood with and india ink wash) featured in a article in MR. However, I am having a hard time remembering which issue (month and year) the article was in. I was thinking that it was in an issue within the last 12 months, but I could be wrong. Can anyone help jog my memory.
Thanks,
Sean
I remember that article well; it was in a January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, or December issue sometime in the past fifty-five years or so but, for the life of me I just can’t seem to recall the specific issue off the top of my head.
Did you check the index? What you might be looking for is Lionel Strang’s Workin’ On The Railroad feature from the September, 2002 MR!
If you can’t find the article, a forum search turns up a bunch threads concerning ink washes.

this is an index of every railroad mag Kalmbach ever printed.

While the index is very useful, it stops at July 2006.

Greetings,
While not using India ink the article, page 28, March 08 Model Railroader, weathers wood with a paint stain.
Happy modeling,
