Need help looking for Aux Tenders

I’m trying to find the 800 series Union Pacific Auxiliary tenders in HO scale. This tender is used today on the Challenger 3985 and Northern engine 844 that the UP runs excursions on to this date. I’m searched eveywhere on the web, and all nearby hobby shops, with no sucess of any kind. Can anyone help?

To be absolutely correct you need the “Oil Tenders” from an 8500 HP Gas turbin as UP decided they would make great AUX tenders after they were scrapped.

My approach

Take two Bachmann Semi Vanderbuilt “Hicken” tenders. Cut away the water tank. Glue the two oil tank haves together back to back. Styrene over the two front ends to suit your needs paint armor yellow and big red UNION PACIFIC lettering and you will have something that looks reasonable close.

If it was modified a bit and painted nicely you could come “visually close” (meaning, people’s memories or imaginations would fill in the blanks and convince them it is more accurate than it really is) if you used the Bowser tender that in theory goes with their Challenger kit:

the only ones that I know of are brass. I’m not sure that is what you want however caboose hobbies will most likely have a few. Check their website first but I would call and they should be able to tell you who would manufacture a tender like that.

There is a few people out there who made them. The finest ones are from OMI Overland. I have 2 for my OMI Challenger and another two for my Gas Turbine. I also have 5 more that I was able to pick up from Ebay for great prices.
