Anyone know the book price of #50 gang car and #282 gantry crane (both no box in VG to EX cond)? Don’t have a price guide handy.
I can’t tell you an actual price except to say that they’re worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. I would go on ebay and see what they’re selling for on there.That will give you a general idea of what they’re worth/selling for.
I got my gang cars for 35 bucks. I got a 282 PRR crane for 71 bucks both off ebay.

A 282 or 282R gantry crane in excellent condition without box should be around 200. I paid 250 for mine about 8 years ago like that but the prices have come down a bit on these.

Sounds about right. I wonder why postwar items have lowered in value. Is it due to the PW Celebration Series? I’ve seen many items plummit it value. For example, when I purchased my 726 berk on ebay in 2005 all I had as a reference was a 2002 TM price guide. It said the 726 was valued at 800.00! When I won it at 400.00 I was doing backflips until I got a 2005 priceguide and saw 425.00. [sigh]
