Group,
I need to get some paint to touch up this brass engine. Does anybody know who makes this color? Thanks in advance!

Very doubtful if not impossible to find ready mix paint to match this engine. I’m afraid you’re on your own and will have to experiment and mix your own, Tenshodo was imported from Japan by Pacific Fast Mail and PFM has been out of business for years. You might try a SF historical site and possibly they could give you the color mix you are looking for, that is the blue colors used by the SF. Unfortunately, they may not match the blue on your model. Good luck.
Thanks for the info. I will try there!
Assuming that the painting ws done by Tenshodo in Japan, the original paint was probably a lacquor.
You might try checking out Tamiya paints - not for an exact match (improbable) but as a basis for mixing. Make color chips, then use the one that comes closest.
Japanese trains use a couple of shades of blue, and Tamiya produces them for the domestic (Japanese) modeling market. The same shades (and others I use) are available at my local Hobbytown outlet.

Thanks for all that helped in this project. I found a almost dead match with Testors Model Master Russian Topside Blue. I just painted this afternoon When it dries I willl post a photo.

Here are some photos:
I noticed you’re using what appears to be regular masking tape. You might want to try “fineline” available at an auto paint store for the detailed masking and “frogtape” available at Home Depot for major masking. Both won’t bleed and do a much better job IMO. Just my .02
I did use the fineline on the numberboards. Since I was just touching up I just used the regular everywhere else. It is Stainless under the runningboards so even if it did bleed quick swipe of thinner and it would be gone. Thanks for the advice.
