I used some of this stuff todat but it was very crummbely and pebbely. do I need to mix it more or add more water ? Both ? any help would be appriciated.

Tried it once (only once). same thing, best stick with other materials.

I"ve used this product once and didn’t really care for it. Some others might have had better experiences.
I prefer to use Hydrocal dry. I sprinkle it on and use a sprayer bottle with ‘wet water’ (wearing rubber or latex gloves) and shape what I want. I do a small amount at a time, but I can still texture it. This is what works best for me. Maybe you could try this same technique with the Mold-a-Scene.
