can anyone tell me anything about the Mississippi & Tennessee Railroad? In last months issue of Trains there is a notice that the Mississippi & Tennessee
placed up for abandonment its 43. 2 miles of ex-GM&O track from New Albany, Mississippi to Houston, Mississippi. Does anyone know what kind of locomotives the shortline used and what traffic it hauled?
The Mississippi and Tennessee railroad has a GE U23B # 7,EMD GP9’s # 5001 & 9001,and a NREX Lease unit GP20 #5002. As for any other info on this railroad,I am looking through my back issues of various railroad magazines,and a few books that might have something on it. I hope this helps you for the moment.
