Where can I get a 1950’s era, C-&NW, diesel, switcher, with DCC and sound, delivered before Dec. 7th? I tried M.B. Klien but received no reply at all, even after resendind and requesting ANY reply. I will be in the states then and want to bring it up to Canada when I come back. No tax or duty that way. Any thoughts or recomendations?

Found everything in your parameters EXCEPT the switcher is from the '70’s.

There are 3 C&NW to choose from. Hope this helps…
I did a quick search and found that they had ALCO S-1’s and S-2’s. Both Atlas and LL make/made them, but not with DCC and sound…as far as I can find.

I guess I cannot get exactly what I want but I need to bring back SOMETHING. Even if it is a structure kit. Any ideas?

Trainworld might also have GP9’s.
GP-7’s were produced from 1949-1954
GP-9’s were produced 1954-1959

Bruce, I am sorry for not being clear. I meant that each company produced C&NW models of those types, but I did not search for availability at any sites. You should do a search under “HO,C&NW ALCo S-2” and see what hits come up. Someone is sure to have what you want, but perhaps nowhere near where you will travel.

Check with Tim at: http://www.empirenorthernmodels.com/index.htm He has a very large inventory of locomotives and is very reasonable. He will mail anywhere in the US and will not hit you hard on shipping (generally what it costs him).
