anyone know where i can get Rivarossi parts for a 4-8-8-4. Specifically, a trail bar, and the (may the train gods forgive me) on the front set of trucks, the piston, to where the rods go into. and a trailing truck as well.
these are the only things ( yes i know im asking allot for trying to find these items LOL ) but still, its the only thing I have left to do to rebuild this 4-8-8-4 /dcc on board.
that will still run $80 for a busted up unit
good luck
I have a 4-8-8-2 needs parts but that train looks better than it runs anyway
save the dough
get a bli for $120
sell the rive for $80
that a brad new bli for $40
now thats a deal
nothing at bowser. hat i would need. hey this one runds better than anything, just my cat decided to chase it one day and well, it has its own train wreck.
Hornby bought Rivarossi and have just announced its reissue see Hornby International at www.hornby.com
try contacting them about spares. Walthers seem to be the main US agent.
Golf Manor Hobbies in Cinncinati, their website is: www.GOLFMANORHOBBIES.com (they rarely answer email), ph (513) 351-3849 3pm - 9pm EST. They can be a bit pricey but they seem to be able to get the parts for the older Rivarossi/AHM locos so they might be the place for newer production loco parts also.
